"BAI – Banco Angolano de Investimentos was chosen as the 'Best Bank in Angola' by the prestigious English magazine Euromoney during the 2023 Excellence Awards gala, which took place on July 12 in London, England", reads a statement from the BAI, to which VerAngola had access.
BAI – which cites a statement published on the Euromoney magazine website – informs that "the criteria that defined" its election were "the business consolidation strategy and the successful completion of the Public Offer for the Sale of 10 percent of the share capital of the bank in 2022", which he highlights as "a historic moment in the Angolan financial market that marked the opening of the Stock Exchange Market in Angola", along with the "considerable investment in the reform of information technology systems".
Cited in the note, Luís Lélis, PCE of BAI, stressed that "this distinction recognizes the results achieved with the implementation, to date, of the 2022-2027 Strategic Plan, whose execution will materialize more and more with the consolidation of the core business, without fail to ensure innovation in the bank's business model".
"We are grateful to our customers who have always told us where we could improve and we reaffirm that BAI currently has structural conditions of profitability, solidity, liquidity and efficiency that allow it to face present and future challenges with courage and confidence and assert itself as a fundamental support of Angolan families and companies", he added.
