Among the various fruits exported, banana stands out. According to Angop, 174 tons of table banana and four tons of bread banana were exported to Namibia.

In addition, are part of the list fruits such as pineapple (30 tons exported), papaya (18 tons) and passion fruit (2.8 tons).

Gabriel Martinho, head of the Provincial Department of Agriculture, praised the work developed by the producers.

He also considered that the province has the capacity to cultivate fruits and consequently to boost exports.

According to Angop, the exports were in charge of Helinamachi, in Luanda, which worked in partnership with DT Agro, in Catumbela.

About DT Agro, the responsible considered that it played a preponderant role in the exports process, once that, besides producing banana, papaya and passion fruit, it also helped to export products from other farmers of that province.

Cited by Angop, Gabriel Martinho also made known that DT Agro has modern equipment that allows the preparation of fruit for export.

He also took the opportunity to encourage the province's producers to continue to do "their homework well", thus strengthening local production in order to meet the challenges of the market.

According to Angop, Benguela's fruit exports are practically stopped this year, due to the restrictions imposed because of covid-19.
