At issue is the fact that the Angolan athlete, evolving in the North American Basketball League (NBA), has chosen to return to the United States to play in the Summer League.
Moniz Silva considered that the athlete made his choice, by putting aside the five Angolan who is currently doing an internship in Portugal, aiming at the African competition.
Speaking to the press this week, the Angolan athlete, working for the NBA, Atlanta Hawks, guaranteed that he would be available to join the group from August 16th.
The final decision was made by the Angolan Basketball Federation, which decided to permanently remove the athlete from the options of Spanish coach Pep Clarós.
In the stage in Portugal, the national team played three games: they beat Slovakia, by 86-59, then lost to Portugal, by 92-84, and in the last game they beat the Portuguese team, by 83-76.

Athlete Bruno Fernando was removed from the African basketball championship, taking place in Rwanda from 24 August to 5 September, confirmed the president of the Angolan Basketball Federation Moniz Silva.
