Portuguese President, Prime Minister and Minister in Luanda for CPLP Summit

Portugal will be represented at the XIII CPLP Summit, in Luanda, by the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, by the Prime Minister, António Costa, and by the Minister of State and Foreign Affairs, Augusto Santos Silva.

In a note released this Friday, the Presidency of the Republic confirms that Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will participate in the XIII Conference of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), between 16 and 17 July in Luanda, which marks the celebration of the 25th anniversary of this organisation.

"The Prime Minister, António Costa, and the Minister of State and Foreign Affairs, Augusto Santo Silva, accompany the President of the Republic on this visit to Angola", reads the same note published on the official website of the Portuguese Presidency of the Republic on the Internet .

According to this note, "the President of the Republic has planned bilateral meetings with some of his counterparts from other CPLP member states", unspecified, on the sidelines of this conference.

The Luanda Summit is dedicated to the theme "Strengthening and Promoting Economic and Business Cooperation in Times of Pandemic, in favor of the Sustainable Development of CPLP Countries".

The Assembly of the Republic had already approved, a week ago, the visit of the head of State, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, to Luanda, to participate in the XIII Summit of the CPLP.
