According to António da Silva, president of ZEE's Board of Directors, the food sector tops the list, with three projects. This is followed by the energy branch with two projects and the ceramics, steel, housing, pharmaceutical, and automobile inspection center sectors, with one project each.

Valued at a total of US$77 million, 495,000 and 609, of the ten projects approved, five are of Angolan origin, two are from Rwanda and the remaining three belong to India, Eritrea and Germany (each with one project), Angop reported.

António da Silva also made it known that it is estimated that, when the new projects are fully operational, a total of 1087 new jobs will be generated.

Cited by Angop, António da Silva informed that despite the investment captured in the first semester of this year, ZEE still needs around US$60 million for the expansion areas and productivity increase.

The responsible took the opportunity to make a balance about the ZEE: in two years, the special economic zone registered more than 6000 jobs, resulting from the operation of ten projects, belonging to the list of 40 initiatives approved between 2018 and 2020.

Ten of the 40 projects are fully operational, 10 are in the equipment assembly phase, and the rest are under construction.
