The vaccines will be handed over to "competent authorities in a ceremony with the Ministry of Health", the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The document adds that the 50,000 doses will be "accompanied by the material necessary to enable their administration", including syringes and needles.
The Portuguese government has made a commitment to make available at least 5 percent of its batches of vaccines to Portuguese-speaking African Countries (PALOP) and Timor-Leste.
Doses have already been sent to Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and São Tomé Príncipe.
Timor-Leste should receive next week the first 12,000 vaccines offered by Portugal.
