"We are pleased to see the reforms of the regulatory system that occurred recently in Angola", said Rogério Gaspar, during the 1st International Congress of the Private University of Angola (UPRA).
Cited by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), the responsible also took the opportunity to inform that the African Medicines Agency will bring many advantages, in the next years, for people's health.
"We are also very pleased to see the movement that is taking place in Africa with the establishment of the African Medicines Agency, strongly supported by the WHO and which may in fact be a 'game changer' in the coming years," he considered.
According to RNA, Rogério Gaspar also added that, for now, the WHO is more committed to the production of medicines and vaccines against covid-19.
"For now and in the immediate term, our urgency is to strengthen the capacity to produce medicines and vaccines in countries that don't have it yet. The funding instruments will be in place for the next two years, and this is also our window of opportunity to strengthen the levels of regulation," he added.
