"I am pleased to see on this memorable date in your nation that the history of relations between our two countries has a record of events of high significance, which have been happening progressively until we reach the current levels of a significant level of mutual understanding, which has allowed us to develop cooperation actions in various fields, with a positive impact on the internal life of the Republic of Angola and the United States of America and on sensitive aspects of a global nature," wrote João Lourenço in the message to Donald Trump.
"I am convinced that there is a vast field of bilateral cooperation and intervention in the economies of both sides between our two countries to be explored, so that relevant benefits can be derived from this in order to achieve reciprocal interests that favour the achievement of the great objectives of our nations", he added.
João Lourenço stated that this path can be taken "together and in permanent consultation, in the present and in the future", so that this objective can be achieved.
