"The Science and Technology Development Project is being implemented by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, and aims to contribute to the economic diversification of Angola through technological and scientific research, and by promoting a favourable environment for innovation," reads a statement issued this Thursday.
"The Laboratory, Clinical and Epidemiological Profile of covid-19 and the Capacity Building project in Angola received 431,500 dollars and 613,000 dollars, respectively," the statement said, which noted that the signing ceremony, announced this Thursday, took place virtually on Monday.
The projects include the participation of reference entities in scientific research from countries such as Brazil, Portugal, Sweden and the United Kingdom, and are also being carried out in collaboration with the World Health Organisation and the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the African Union (Africa CDC), the statement also states.
