According to Franco Mufinda, the new positive cases are from citizens of Luanda, 14 of whom are men aged between 4 and 97.

As part of the mass test, the serological status of public media workers was assessed this Monday, involving more than 1000 people, 58 of whom had reactive tests, 11 of whom had IgM markers, which indicate that the infection is in the active phase.

This Tuesday, another risk group, the employees and deputies of the National Assembly and the Palace of Justice workers, will be tested.

Angola has 525 cases, of which 26 died, 118 were recovered and 381 were active.

Of the 11,776 rapid tests already carried out, 463 were reactive, which means that people have had contact with the virus and have gained immunity or are in an active phase of the disease.

The covid-19 pandemic has already claimed over 569,000 lives and infected almost 13 million people in 196 countries and territories, according to a review by the French agency AFP.

The disease is transmitted by a new coronavirus detected at the end of December in Wuhan, a city in central China.
