According to a press release from the Ministry of Economy and Planning, this reinforcement may grow with the adhesion of other banks, which have expressed interest in joining this financing instrument of the Support Program for National Production, Export Diversification and Replacement of Imports (PRODESI), which already has 198 billion kwanzas, from nine other commercial banks.
"With the accession of these four new banks, PAC has a total of 222.7 billion kwanzas available to finance projects included in PRODESI", says the note.
The Angolan Venture Capital Fund (FRACA) will also sign contracts with eight microcredit companies, which will operationalize the third line of credit for measures to alleviate negative economic and financial effects valued at four billion kwanzas.
This line aims to boost the activity of micro businesses in the sectors of food processing, logistics and distribution of agrifood and fishery products, recycling of solid urban waste, cultural and artistic production, software development, as well as other products and services that constitute agribusiness chain.
