In the last quarter of the match, held in South Africa, the Angolans maintained their advantage on the scoreboard, reaching the final whistle winning 96 to 74.
In the match on Wednesday, American Kendrick Ray, who wears the Petro de Luanda jersey, was in the spotlight. The forward was the top scorer, having 'basketed' 21 points, made three rebounds and four assists.
Also for Petro, Aboubakar Gakou (17 points), Patrick Gardner (14 points) and Samkelo Cele (10 points) also stood out.
With the victory, Petro sealed its place in the BAL final. Scheduled for next Saturday, the 'tricolors' will compete to retain the title against Al Tripoli from Libya.
This is the third time that Petro has been in a BAL final: in 2022 it was runner-up and last year it won the trophy, and is currently the title holder.
