The desire was expressed by the Minister of Youth and Sports during a conversation with the athletes and technical team, in a training session held at the 11 de Novembro stadium.

“I wish you strength and that each of you do your best, because what is at stake is our flag and it is for it that we all have to fight. Even if this grass turns brown, but we all have to leave our sweat here. The result will depend on everyone's effort, if we are all united and everyone does their best, the result will be positive,” he said.

Angola plays again on the 11th against Cameroon, also in Luanda, in the fourth round of the World Cup 2026 qualifying phase, which will be played in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Group D is led by Libya, with seven points, followed by Cameroon, with four, the same points have Cape Verde, in third, followed by Angola, which has two, Mauritius are in fifth, with one, while Eswatine is the last one without any point.
