According to a statement from the Government of the Province of Luanda (GPL), to which VerAngola had access, the new facilities were officially handed over this Wednesday, in a ceremony attended by the Inspector General of State Administration, João Manuel Francisco "João Pinto", and the governor of Luanda, Manuel Homem.

This new infrastructure, says the GPL, "grants greater dignity to the work of inspectors, with a focus on strengthening their ability to act, and, above all, reaffirms the commitment to ethics and professional deontology, expecting greater preservation from residents of the public heritage".

On the occasion, Manuel Homem considered that relations with IGAE strengthen the actions of public managers in the province.

"This relationship with IGAE comes, above all, to strengthen, but also to help control, mitigate, and prevent the actions of public managers in the province of Luanda and also of society. Corruptors must also be sensitized and not just the corrupt, because corruption often comes from society to public managers and vice versa", he stated.

The governor also considered it important to have instruments capable of providing public services "with greater dignity".

"It is important that we have instruments capable of providing a public service with greater dignity and responsibility for public agents, which is why it is also a date of great symbolism for us because it has long been hoped that the IGAE in Luanda would have the conditions from the point of view infrastructure and other materials, which are also being created at the level of the central IGAE and GPL, for a better exercise of activity in our province", he said, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).

In turn, Inspector General of State Administration made it known that the focus on training remains: "We continue to train staff, to provide better preparation to staff, especially in matters of money laundering, in matters of auditing, for the best possible monitoring of administration".
