"The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, addressed today [Thursday] the state of relations and cooperation between Luanda and Brazzaville, in a tête-à-tête with his counterpart from the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso", informs the CIPRA, in a note to which VerAngola had access.
At the meeting, the two also discussed "aspects linked to the regional situation".
According to Angop, the meeting lasted more than an hour and, in the end, no statements were made to the press.
The President of the Republic of Congo arrived in the country's capital on Wednesday night. His visit to the country was quite brief, given that Denis Sassou Nguesso has already left Angola.
It should be noted that cooperation between the two countries focuses on several sectors, with emphasis on the economy, social reintegration, diplomacy, as well as cultural aspects, writes Angop.
