Speaking to journalists after a meeting with his counterpart, Alassane Ouattara, João Lourenço, who began a two-day visit to Côte d'Ivoire this Thursday, recalled that Angola, the second largest African oil producer, already has great experience and knowledge that is available to share.
"Our oil industry today lives mainly on the work of our Angolan staff and we are open to transferring this knowledge, this experience to our brothers in Côte d'Ivoire so that they can also become major oil and gas producers", highlighted the head of state.
He gave as an example Namibia "which has just discovered large reserves of oil and gas", and with whom Angola "is working".
"We understand that knowledge must be shared and not hidden", he emphasized, noting that this is one of the 14 agreements signed.
"Obviously, oil and gas exploration here will benefit from the partnership and cooperation of our companies linked to this sector, namely Sonangol and ANPG [national concessionaire]", he added.
Delegations from the two countries signed 14 cooperation agreements in Abidjan, with emphasis on the areas of Agriculture, Mineral Resources and Hydrocarbons, Health, Information Technologies, Commerce and Culture.
