The data are cited in an analysis by Banco Millenium Atlântico, based on the Quick Information Sheet on the Economic Situation for Companies, in which the National Institute of Statistics reveals that the aforementioned indicator registered an increase of three points in relation to the last three months 2023.
The study indicates that the manufacturing sector went from four points in the fourth quarter of 2023 to 13 points in the first three months of the current year.
The transport sectors also went from 10 points to 24, commerce from 12 to 16 points and tourism from 14.7 to 16.4 points.
The INE publication, which illustrates the situation of seven sectors, also included an investigation into the extractive industry, construction and communication.
