According to Jaffar Lakkis, general director of DIP Angola, the implementation of the aforementioned project will be divided into three stages, with the first to be carried out between 14 and 16 months, with an investment of around 150 million dollars.
However, the person in charge, cited by Angop, explained that they have not yet completed the studies for the three stages: "We still do not have the studies completed for the three phases. The project in Dubai, of which this is a replica, started with 100 million of dollars and today the total investment is around 50 billion dollars", he said.
In turn, Maria Antónia Nelumba, governor of Bengo province, considered that the project will help improve the country's economy, allow investors to export their products, as well as serve the countries of Southern Africa, writes Angop.
On the occasion, she also highlighted the fact that DIP Angola will boost job creation, especially for young people.
"This project will enable the creation of more jobs, especially for youth, provide specialized professional training and support the community in which it is located", she stated.
Maria Antónia Nelumba also said that the province is open to receiving new investors interested in contributing to the reconstruction of the country, and the local government is providing full support to ensure the success of this initiative.
In turn, Omar Al Mesmar, general director of Dubai Investments International, stated that this is a strategic initiative that aims to support the economic growth of the country, serving as an impetus for the lasting development and innovation in Angola.
The project is ambitious, as it will include an industrial, commercial, housing and recreational area, occupying 2000 hectares. According to Angop, the project envisages the construction of aluminum factories, metal structures and glass, and will also serve partners who wish to establish their factories.
