Dubai Investments Park (DIP) Angola signed a contract for the first phase of construction of a residential, commercial and industrial center in the country with China Harbor Engineering Company Ltd (CHEC). In this way, the Chinese company will act as the main contractor for the infrastructure works of phase 1A, covering road works, storm sewer systems, water systems and electrical systems, with a contract duration of 10 months, informed DIP Angola.

According to Omar Al Mesmar, general director of Dubai Investments Park, "phase 1A infrastructure works represent a crucial foundation for the overall success and sustainability of DIP Angola and establish the framework to attract more investments, businesses and industries to the region".

"By providing essential road networks, water systems and electrical infrastructure, DIP Angola creates an environment conducive to economic activity, job creation and revenue generation for the local community and the broader Angolan economy. By partnering with a renowned company, DIP Angola demonstrates its dedication to quality, efficiency and the long-term success of the project", added Omar Al Mesmar, quoted in a statement sent to VerAngola.

For his part, Xiaoying Hao, South Africa Division, General Manager, China Harbor Engineering Company Ltd, said they were honored to have been chosen "as the main contractor".

"With a rich portfolio of successful projects in Angola and a proven track record of expertise in infrastructure development, we are honored to be chosen as the main contractor for the Phase 1A infrastructure works at DIP Angola. This partnership underlines our commitment to leveraging our expertise and resources to contribute to the development of Angola's infrastructure landscape," he said.

"We are confident that our team's dedication to excellence and our collaborative approach will ensure the successful delivery of a high-quality infrastructure that meets the needs of DIP Angola and its stakeholders," added Xiaoying Hao.

The road works and storm sewer systems planned by DIP Angola "will not only ensure a smooth flow of traffic, but will also mitigate the risk of flooding, improving the general habitability of the area", the statement also states, which adds that "adequate water and electricity systems are critical to residential, commercial and industrial activities, ensuring that residents, businesses and industries have reliable access to essential utilities."
