On what was the second and last day of his working day in Uíge, João Lourenço took a long time to tour the fair – which was set up in the provincial government square – in order to get in touch with the productive potential of the 16 municipalities in the province.
At the end of the visit, which "consisted of a detailed tour of each of the stands of the 16 municipalities that make up" Uíge, the head of state "showed satisfaction with what he saw – the abundant production that ranges from cassava to bananas, citrus fruits, sweet potatoes, yams, cocoa, coffee and others - and mentioned, by the way, the lyrics of a popular Angolan song "our floor has everything", by Dom Caetano", refers a note from the Presidency of the Republic, the that VerAngola had access to.
On the occasion, the President also took the opportunity to praise the "good work of the region's producers". In addition, he also highlighted "other initiatives carried out by young people, such as, for example, the production of crackers from cassava", an innovation that he said deserves "to be supported and replicated in other places in the country", the note also refers.
Regarding the meeting with the provincial government, João Lourenço said that "it was possible to verify that the projects that are foreseen are moving forward".
Still in the same place, according to Angop, the President of the Republic delivered vehicles to the municipal administrations of Puri, Damba, Songo, Mucaba and Sanza Pombo.
On the visit to the fair, the head of state was accompanied by the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, as well as other members of the executive.
It is recalled that, this Thursday, João Lourenço traveled to Uíge province for a two-day visit, having returned to Luanda for this Friday. In Uíge, his agenda was marked by the orientation of the first meeting of the Local Governance Council and by the visit to the agro-livestock fair.
