João Lourenço makes a two-day visit to Uíge

The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, will travel this Thursday to Uíge province, where he will pay a two-day visit.

With an arrival scheduled for this Thursday morning, João Lourenço will work in that province this Thursday and Friday, with an agenda marked by the orientation of the first meeting of the Local Governance Council, according to a communiqué from the Provincial Government of Uíge, the that VerAngola had access to.

"One of the main objectives of President João Lourenço's mission will be to guide the first meeting of the Local Governance Council on this year's calendar, a meeting that will bring together, at the same table, the eighteen provincial governors and several holders of ministerial departments", reads in the note.

The meeting, adds the statement, will take place in two sessions: the first to take place this Thursday afternoon while the second will take place on Friday morning.

The head of state's agenda also includes a meeting with local authorities and a visit to the Agricultural Fair "which will open in the heart of the city of Uíge to show the region's potential in this economic field".

João Lourenço is scheduled to return to Luanda on Friday afternoon, the note also says.
