Angola and Russia analyzed on Thursday, in Luanda, the strengthening of bilateral relations, with emphasis on the diversification of the strategic partnership in the political-diplomatic, defense and security, technological and economic-business domains, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mirex).
The meeting served to address the "boosting of political consultations between Angola and Russia" and the need to hold an Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation between the two countries, said the Government statement.
Vladimir Tararov and the head of Angolan diplomacy also spoke about aspects related to the Russia-Africa summit, scheduled for July in Saint Petersburg, and the BRICS summit (economic bloc comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), which should take place at the end of August, in the South African city of Durban.
