This, however, was not the path chosen by the 23-year-old, 2.06-meter-tall Angolan, who preferred to play in Europe, signing a contract with the French team. The objective is to gain experience in the team and on the field, returning to try to access the NBA for the 2023-2024 season.
Jean-Denys Choulet, coach of the French, was satisfied with the signing of the Angolan: "I'm happy to have found a pivot. Sílvio is a 5 capable of moving to the sides and shooting, so his versatility is interesting for us," he said on the club's social networks. "He has a certain reputation in the US because of a fight in a university game, but the echoes I got about him and our phone conversations say something else. The manager of Chorale Roanne also said that the athlete has the genesis of his father, Jean-Jacques Conceição, one of the most recognized Angolan players of all time, who came to play in the Limoges squad, also from France.
