Missing vessel with five fishermen a week ago in Namibe

Five Angolan fishermen have been missing for a week in the seas of Namibe province, the owner of the vessel said this Tuesday, which went to sea last Tuesday.

According to Avelino Tomé, the fishermen went out to work, in the seas of the fishing village of Tômbua, in Namibe province, in a 10-meter long vessel, with the forecast of returning between Friday and Saturday.

"We are concerned about the vessel that is not arriving until today", said Avelino Tomé, speaking to Rádio Nacional de Angola, after having raised the alarm to the delegation of the local captaincy.

The captaincy authorities have already released the report, to share the information in the nearest ports and also to inform shipowners who are setting out to sea, with a view to rescuing the disappeared.
