Campaign hospital in Lubango will be adapted and become a municipal hospital

The campaign hospital built in Lubango with the purpose of welcoming patients with covid-19 will be transformed into the Municipal Hospital of Lubango. With this adaptation, the city of Lubango will gain its first municipal hospital.

The unit, which is currently being adjusted, should be completed within one year.

Cited by Angop, Armando Baptista Vieira, municipal administrator of Lubango, considered that this unit will bring improvements to medical care as well as relieve other reference units.

In addition, he also recognized the change of local health centers in budgeted components, aiming at better functioning, writes Angop.

Speaking as part of the celebration of the 99th anniversary of Lubango, the governor made it known that users seek assistance at the central unit "Dr. António Agostinho Neto" and at the maternal-infant hospital "Irene Neto" and that, as a result, the design of the first municipal unit was considered.

Lubango has 28 health posts and 22 medical centers, however, it does not have any municipal hospital.
