The investment, belonging to the Noble Group, will create 150 new direct jobs and around two hundred indirect jobs, through the network of distributors.

Present at the inauguration was the Secretary of State for Commerce, Amadeu Nunes, who guaranteed that it is part of the Government's vision to promote the market with retail stores that combine price, quantity and quality.

Cited by Jornal de Angola, the official said that the opening of this store, at a stage of apparent lower investment by the business community, contradicts any skepticism that may have arisen on the part of capital holders about the attractiveness of the market and the numerous opportunities that exist in the sector. of distribution.

On the occasion, it was also announced by the management of AngoMart that the intention is to open, by the end of the year, three new supermarkets in Luanda.

Nuno Coutinho, general manager, reported that the group employs around 2050 workers, having provided, since February, a total of 12 thousand hours of professional training.

In addition to a commitment to proximity to the provinces, the supermarket chain also reinforced its role in national production, with 60 percent of the brands displayed on AngoMart's shelves coming from its own production. The remaining products are divided between local and imported suppliers.

The director general explained that the meat, for example, comes from partners in the provinces of Huíla (Lubango) and Kwanza-Sul (Waku Kungo).
