João Lourenço exonerates Joana Lina as provincial governor of Luanda

The President, João Lourenço, exonerated this Wednesday Joana Lina from the post of provincial governor of Luanda. The position will be taken by Ana Paula Chantre Luna de Carvalho.

"The President of the Republic, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, under the terms of the Constitution, signed today [Wednesday] a decree removing Joana Lina Ramos Baptista Cândido, from the post of governor of the Province of Luanda," a note posted on the Presidency's Facebook page reads.

The statement also says that Joana Lina will be replaced by Ana Paula Chantre Luna de Carvalho: "For the position of governor of the Province of Luanda, the President of the Republic appointed Ana Paula Chantre Luna de Carvalho, previously removed from the post of Secretary of State for Spatial Planning.

The note also reports that in another decree the head of state appointed Manuel José da Costa Molares D'Abril to the post of Secretary of State for Spatial Planning.

João Lourenço also appointed Hélio Delize Neto de Almeida to the position of Vice-Governor of the Province of Huila for the Technical Sector and Infrastructures.
