It was this Monday night that the São Jorge cinema, in Lisbon, hosted the premiere of the Angolan feature film "Mwana Nkento".

A full house to hear the story of two young people from two different ethnic groups (Kwanhama and Bakongo) who decide to challenge the traditional principles that prevent them from living a "great love".

Sílvio Nascimento, executive producer of the film, was satisfied with the international premiere of the feature film, despite having been a "tremendous battle" to take the film to a room out of doors.

The film was shot in the village of Caxala, in the province of Bengo, and was directed by "Satanha Cinéfilo" and executive produced by Sílvio Nascimento.

"We managed to produce the feature film, which underwent extensive editing, to enhance its cinematographic quality. It is a film of brothers, more than Angola is African. It was produced for international festivals," stated the producer, cited by Angop.

Also present at the premiere was Carlos Alberto Fonseca, Angola's ambassador to Portugal, who stressed that it is important for the Angolan culture to be increasingly disseminated as a means of aggrandizement.

The diplomat also congratulated the initiative of young Angolans, who chose to portray the traditions of some provinces in the country.
