Government creates National Youth Award to recognize young angolans

The government decided to create a prize to distinguish young angolans who contribute to the development "of their personality". This prize, called the National Youth Prize, will be made up of a trophy, a certificate and a sum of money.

According to the Presidency of the Republic, young angolans up to the age of 35 who stand out "in actions that contribute to the development of their personality, through work, education, training, volunteering, associativism, sport, solidarity, creativity, patriotism and entrepreneurship, will have public recognition of society, through the National Youth Prize, now established.

In a Facebook publication, the president revealed that the prize will now be awarded during an annual gala, organised for this purpose.

The prize will consist of "a trophy, a certificate and a sum of money", the publication said.

According to the executive, young people will be distinguished in various ways: "Youth Entrepreneurship; Associativism and Youth Volunteering; Education, Extension and Research; Youth Entrepreneurship; Overcoming, Solidarity and Community; Culture and Arts; Sports; Creativity and Innovation".

The institution of this prize was approved this Friday in Council of Ministers.
