"I congratulate the authorities of the Andulo municipality for the innovative solutions in the framework of the measures to reduce the risk of contamination by COVID 19", João Lourenço began by saying, through a publication made this Wednesday in his official Twitter account.
"Your example of a permanent search for local solutions must be followed and replicated by the rest of the country," he said.
Since covid-19 arrived in the country, the municipality of Andulo has taken several measures: the disinfestation of institutions and public places, the implementation of awareness campaigns, as well as the delivery of hundreds of leaflets explaining what the coronavirus is.
In addition, the municipality has found a way to divide the space between the motorcycle driver and the passenger.
The most recent measure is a pioneering one in the country and was presented on Monday. According to the official Facebook of the Andulo administration "the Administrator of Andulo, Celeste Adolfo, has delivered free to motorcyclists, biosafety material and separator plates between bikers and passengers, a local initiative and pilot in Angola".
