The information was advanced by the holder of the Petroleum portfolio during the visit of Nandumbo Nandi-Randa to the Sonils venture, where he integrated from his production capacity.
"One of the components of the cooperation we are developing is the possibility of jointly the Namibia National Petroleum Company (Namcor) and Sonangol to develop a similar logistics base," said Diamantino Azevedo.
As for the temporal horizon for the implementation of the project, he said the conversations between oil companies in both countries are already underway.
"I believe that (the president) has a good impression. It already has information from previous visits made by those responsible of the government of Namibia, and I believe it will give a momentum to the realization of what we intend to," he added.
The minister said that Angola and Namibia cooperate in other areas, among which in the training of Namibian technicians in Angolan territory, and continue to evaluate forms of collaboration in the oil and gas sector.
Namibian head of state has already returned to his country after a two -day visit to Angola to reinforce bilateral cooperation. This is the first visit to the foreigner of President Nandumbo Nandi-Randah since he took office last March.
