According to the National Institute for Support to Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), this is the first confirmed international participation in the event, which takes place between Thursday and Sunday, in Luanda, and aims to "foster the ecosystem of Angolan startups in the Southern Region of the cradle continent".
SEBRAE highlights, in a note to which Lusa had access, that there were a total of 113 registrations, with startups working in the areas of entrepreneurial education, credit and finance and health and well-being being chosen.
Portugal has representatives from the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal and IAPMEI, the Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, with a Mozambican representative also expected from the similar institution, IPEM, and the president of the entrepreneurship platform 928 Challenge, from Macau.
According to a statement from INAPEM, the summit will bring together more than 160 emerging countries this year in the capital, 26 of which come from the provinces of Huíla, Luanda, Namibe, Cabinda, Uíge, Bengo, Zaire and Cuanza Sul.
