Mundial2026: Pedro Gonçalves calls up Manuel Benson and Randy Nteka and leaves out Ary Papel and Bastos Quissanga

Of those called up, six play in Portugal, namely central defenders Jonathan Buatu (Gil Vicente), Kialonda Gaspar (Estrela da Amadora) and Sandro Cruz (Desportivo de Chaves), midfielders Domingos Andrade (Felgueiras) and Marco Silva (União de Leiria) and striker Depú (Gil Vicente).

Also noteworthy are forwards Manuel Benson, from Burnley, from England, and Randy Nteka, from Rayo Vallecano, from Spain, who, for the first time, will be part of the Angolan team's work, and the absence of winger Ary Papel, from Al Akhdar, from Libya, and defender Bastos Quissanga, from Botafogo, from Brazil.

The Angolan team will gather from the 27th of this month, in Luanda, to begin preparations for the double clash, against their counterparts from Eswatine and Cameroon, on the 7th and 11th of June.

Group D is led by Cameroon, with four points, followed by Cape Verde, second with the same points, Libya, third, also with four points, while Angola is fourth, with two, Mauritius, fifth, with one, and Eswatine occupies last place, without scoring.
