However, the name of Jerson Emiliano dos Santos is not the only Angolan name on the list of 64 referees chosen by the African Football Confederation (CAF) for this competition, which also includes the name of Angolan assistant Ivanildo Lopes.
According to Angop, this is the sixth time that Jerson Emiliano will be present at a CAN final stage. The same cannot be said about Ivanildo Lopes, who will be making his debut.
Remember that Angola's debut in the African competition will take place next Monday, January 15th, against Algeria.
In the competition, the national team is part of group D, made up of Algeria, Burkina Faso and Mauritania.
