PR says that “Angola makes diplomacy a fundamental instrument to generate business”

The President of the Republic, who arrived this Tuesday in the Italian capital for a two-day State visit, said that “Angola makes diplomacy a fundamental instrument to generate consistent business capable of changing the status” of the economy, “from eye on the prosperity and progress” of the country.

:

João Lourenço, in a message shared on his Facebook page, considered that "in an increasingly interdependent world, it is prudent to seek mutually advantageous partnerships".

"In an increasingly interdependent world, it is prudent to seek mutually advantageous partnerships for those who accumulate experience, sensitivity and technological means that allow the realization of investments capable of providing more jobs and more wealth for families", reads in the publication.

Thus, he added: "That is why we have also chosen Italy, an unavoidable partner in this era in which Angola makes diplomacy a fundamental instrument to generate consistent business capable of changing the status of our economy, with an eye on Angola's prosperity and progress".

It should be noted that during the visit of the head of state to Italy, his agenda will be marked by a meeting with the Italian president, Sergio Mattarella. The meeting, scheduled for this Wednesday morning, will take place at the Quirinale Palace.

Furthermore, this Wednesday, João Lourenço and his national delegation will attend a lunch offered by Giorgia Meloni, president of the Council of Ministers. According to Angop, still on this first day of visit, the President of the Republic will lay a wreath on the Altar of the Fatherland, at the monument of the unknown soldier, as well as hold a meeting with Ignacio La Russa, leader of the Italian Senate.

The President's agenda also foresees, for the beginning of this Wednesday night, a trip to the Chamber of Deputies, where he will be received by Lorenzo Fontana, president of parliament, writes Angop.

Also this Wednesday, according to Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), the two countries will sign several cooperation agreements in the fields of education, oil, finance and transport.

"What we intend is to diversify cooperation with Italy. We know that the oil field was traditional (...), but we also want to spread this cooperation to many other areas that Italy has the capacity for. this time of talks, but there will also be a time when we will see certain legal instruments in the field of oil (...), we will also have the field of finance and we will also have other areas such as transport and education and, of course, also in the field of what constitutes the channel of diplomatic relations between the countries”, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, quoted by RNA.

On the second day of the visit, Thursday, João Lourenço will travel to the Chamber of Rome – where he will sign the institution's honor book –, as well as participate in the opening of the business forum with businessmen from both countries.
