Network of nearby pharmacies arrives in the capital

A network of nearby pharmacies arrived in Luanda, with the inauguration of the first pharmacy in the said network taking place this Friday. However, according to Victorino Baptista, manager of Sociedade Geral do Medicamento (SGMED), the company's current goal is to be able to open at least a dozen pharmacies in Luanda by the end of the year.

Regarding the medicines marketed in these units, the official, quoted by Angop, made it known that they originate from the European continent, especially from Portugal, with prices accessible to anyone.

According to Angop, the unit now inaugurated is located at the Total gas station, in the urban district of Golfe, in Kilamba Kiaxi. However, in the future other pharmacies will be set up in the commercial areas of all the fueling stations of the aforementioned oil company.

Strategically located in places where citizens have the greatest need for health services, these pharmacies will assist citizens in distant areas of the province.

This network, according to Angop, comes from a partnership between SGMED and the oil company Total, with the support of the Ministry of Health.
