A total of 26 national technicians – experts in metalworking, painting and welding – make up the workshop team.
The project was conceived with a view to alleviating the shortage in the field of container maintenance, said the transport and logistics operator, in a statement quoted by Jornal de Angola.
'Unirepcon' is intended to ensure that containers with previous injuries or handling damage are repaired in the country.
Carlos Borges Antão, Secretary of State for Transport for the Maritime and Ports area, quoted in the company's note, indicated that Angola is undergoing great pressure in the field of maritime transport, causing negative repercussions in the increase in freight.
The official also stressed that the company is concerned with carrying out its work, joining initiatives promoting the private sector.
