Petromar – which operates in the field of construction and installation of metallic structures and underwater systems for offshore oil and gas exploration – has been in production for more than 30 years and has already stamped projects such as Block 0, Girassol, Caombo and recently won a tender to build platforms that will serve the Angolan oil company Eni.

According to TPA, more than 600 Angolans work in the project, of which 300 are young people. This is the case of Rebeca Rodrigues who, in statements to Televisão Pública de Angola (TPA), made it known that she has been working at the company for about a month: "I have been here for a month and ten days, I am a welder and I was benefited by PAPE and I feel very honored and proud to be here".

Another worker was also happy to be part of the company's team. "I've been here for two months, I'm enjoying it, I never expected to be a welder, today I'm here as a welder," he told TPA.

José Chaoca, head of production, informed that training was carried out that is already bearing fruit and that the idea that the workforce has to be foreign must be put aside.

"We did on-the-job training, in which the results are extremely positive. Let's take away that concept from yesterday that we only have to hire foreign labor, no, we have them here and we are capable of preparing our own to be able to serve our country", he said, quoted by TPA.

With the central base implemented in the municipality of Ambriz, in the province of Bengo, Petromar manages, in its ships, to produce modules with up to 1200 tons.

To TPA, Osmar Vicente, the company's director of operations, said that they have received good feedback on the work they have been developing: "We have had good feedback from our customers in terms of the quality of the products we deliver. two modules from Caombo, which are more than 1200 tons that we made here, is the reference we had from the big company, which is Total in the manufacture of these two modules".

Furthermore, in the field of social responsibility, Petromar has supported initiatives in the areas of family farming, health, environment and education.
