Portuguese Ambassador to Angola visits Angonabeiro factory

Last week, Angonabeiro received, at the premises of its coffee factory, the visit of the Portuguese ambassador to Angola, who witnessed the importance of the company in revitalizing the coffee sector in Angola. Francisco Alegre Duarte, who took on the role of ambassador a year ago, highlighted the scope of the purchase of coffee by Angonabeiro to small Angolan producers, which covers 20,000 families nationwide.

Francisco Alegre Duarte was received by the general director of Angonabeiro, Nuno Moinhos, and by the regional general director for the international markets of the Nabeiro Group, José Beato, having visited the facilities of the Ginga coffee factory, where he observed the different steps of the coffee processing and the process of packaging coffee beans and ground coffee. At the end of his visit to the industrial area, the Portuguese ambassador was also surprised by the information that Angonabeiro had invested in a line for filling coffee into capsules, with October being the expected date for the entry of coffee capsules. Ginga, in the national market.

"Ginga coffee is the star product of Angonabeiro, which has been in the heart of Angola since 2001. Aiming to recover the international prestige of Angolan coffee, the Ginga brand has conquered the preference of national consumers who, today, associate Ginga with the best coffee in Angola ", said the general director of Angonabeiro, in a statement sent to VerAngola.

The ambassador also witnessed the "operational excellence" of Angonabeiro, where more than 100 people work, ensuring continuous supply, with national coverage - in all provinces - from the facilities in Luanda, where the company has a warehouse with 4000 square meters and the Café Ginga factory, where more than 400 tons of sugar and 200 tons of roasted coffee are produced annually.

"Angonabeiro is an exemplary company in the distribution, coffee production and agro-food sectors. The relationship between Delta Cafés and Angola is old and successful, and from what I've seen, I'm sure it will get even stronger", says Francisco Happy Duarte. "I was able to witness the excellent working environment at the company, which is evident in the brio, pride and spirit of commitment of all the workers, young and old, with whom I spoke", concludes the ambassador.

Created by Grupo Nabeiro in 1998, at the invitation of the Government, in a logic of revitalization of the coffee sector, Angonabeiro started with the management and modernization of the Liangol factory, which had been deactivated since 1984. In 2001, Angonabeiro's industrial operations began and, in the same year, the roasting of Ginga coffee was inaugurated.

Over more than 20 years, Angonabeiro has grown in a sustained manner, working closely with the Executive, which considers this sector to be a core element for the diversification of the economy.

"The bet on the coffee sector and on the growth of national production is not only the way to replace imports and increase exports, but also to create more and better jobs and, consequently, increase the income of citizens and generate more wealth for the Country", defends José Beato, assuring that the company remains "deeply committed to the development of coffee in Angola". "The quality of Angolan coffee was recognized early on by the Nabeiro Group, which has made constant investments in the country, always seeking to take advantage of the rich flavor of this coffee. In this context, we can highlight the fact that the Delta Cafés brand places coffee from Angola in lots, which it exports to more than 30 countries in the world through the Nabeiro Group", concludes José Beato.
