Norwegian Equinor does not give up oil exploration in Angola

The chairman of the Norwegian Board of Directors of Equinor confirmed that the company will continue to explore oil and gas in the various blocks of which it is a part in the country, committing to the development of the sector in Angola.

Anders Opedal was received this Thursday in Luanda by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.

Issues related to the oil and gas exploration activity of this multinational, which has been operating in Angola for over 30 years, were at the heart of the meeting, says a statement from the Presidency to which VerAngola had access.

At the end of the meeting, the CEO of the oil company confirmed to the press that Equinor intends to relaunch its activities related to oil and gas exploration throughout the country.

"We have been in Angola for about 30 years and we are a company focused on the exploration and development of the oil sector", said Anders Opedal.
