Oil exports earned the country around 10 billion dollars in the first quarter of this year

In the first quarter of 2022, the country exported 98.3 million barrels of oil, generating gross revenue of around 10 billion dollars. The list of main destinations for oil 'made in Angola' is led by China (63.83 percent), followed by India and France with 9.86 percent and 5.11 percent, respectively.

According to data released this Tuesday by the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, of the total amount of oil exported, 26.22 percent refers to the National Agency for Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG), followed by Sonangol. with 15.54 percent.

The remaining volume was borne by international companies: TotalEnergies with 12.74 percent, Esso with 9.56 percent, Eni with 9.35 percent, BP with 6.82 percent, SSI with 6 73 percent, Equinor with 5.84 percent and Chevron with 5.80 percent.

The list of main destinations for oil 'made in Angola' is led by China (63.83 percent). In second place is India followed by France with 9.86 percent and 5.11 percent, respectively.

The data also show that exports fell by around 0.21 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year and 0.40 percent compared to the last quarter of last year.

Also in the period under analysis, the average price of national vines was around US$103, with an increase of around 67 percent in relation to the same period in the previous year.

Among the most sold national vines are Dália, Mustard and Girassol with 10.437 percent, 10.441 percent and 9.01 percent, respectively. Clov also stands out with 7.99 percent and Cabinda with 7.60 percent.

The consultant to the Secretary of State for Oil and Gas, Gaspar Sermão, explained that the price of brent was influenced by several factors, with emphasis on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which increased the risk of a shortage of crude oil, as well as the decision of the OPEC+ countries to maintain the level of regular increase in supply.
