Angola, along with Brazil and Mozambique, is one of Galp's main extraction areas, where the oil company has six exploration licenses and five projects.
According to estimates by Caixa Banco de Investimento (CaixaBI), Galp's assets in Angola amount to around US$295 million (approximately €280.5 million).
"Unlike Brazil, Angola is not an area of growth for Galp in this business", underlined a CaixaBI analyst Carlos Jesus, quoted by Bloomberg.
In the stock exchange's Friday session, Galp shares rose 4.30 percent to 11.63 euros.
