In his order of 18 May, João Lourenço indicates that the loan will be led by ING Bank with the support of the US Exim Bank and other international financial institutions representing the State.
The project, which will be carried out by the Global Sun Africa LLC consortium, made up of the Angolan companies Omatapalo – Engenharia e Construções and Omatapalo Inc, comprises the electrification of 26 municipal seats and 56 communes in the provinces of Namibe, Cuando Cubango, Huíla and Cunene.
The head of state details that the project includes the construction of hybrid systems for photovoltaic generation, drinking water supply and two photovoltaic plants, which are part of the Public Investment Program for 2022.
