The tenders were launched earlier this month and were scheduled to run until the 21st of this month. However, the deadline has been extended for another five days.
According to a statement from the ministry, cited by the newspaper O País, companies interested in obtaining the "tender documents for the respective submission of bids for the acquisition of 500 vehicles, as well as for fleet management, by GPS, should access the Public Contracting Portal".
However, for the capital the procedure is different: applications should be submitted only by e-mail (dndcr@mindcom.gov.ao).
According to the same newspaper, for the two tenders, the Government will disburse 25 billion kwanzas.
The tenders, which concern the acquisition of 500 vans for goods transport and the purchase of fleet management services via GPS for the referred vehicles, are part of the Support Plan for the Rural Commerce Goods Transport Operators, which was authorized in the Presidential Decree n.º 19/21, of the 20th of January, aligned with the Integrated Rural Commerce Development Program.
