Sunavest Group invests 15 million dollars in new recycling plant

Around 15 million dollars is the value of the Sunavest group's investment in a new paper recycling plant, which should start operating this year, more specifically in September.

:

Carlos Alves, administrator of the Sunavest group, considered that this investment, "besides being a positive point for the economy of the country" will also "help the environment, since plastic has a high cost and few can be recycled.

Speaking to Angop, the official made it known that the new factory will allow the country to produce cardboard boxes, packaging and paper bags.

The new unit will be able to produce 55 tons of products per day and 20 thousand tons per year.

According to Angop, this investment is part of the Government's strategy to encourage local production.

With more than 120 employees, of which 85 percent are national, the Sunavest group owns the Zeepack Angola and Plastcon factories, which are dedicated to the development of projects linked to paper and plastic.
