Covid-19: more 310 new cases, four deaths and 117 recoveries in the country

Angola has recorded 310 more cases of covid-19 and four deaths, as well as 117 recoveries from the disease, in the last 24 hours, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the National Directorate of Public Health.

The new cases were reported in Luanda (209), Zaire (61), Huambo (18), Cunene (10), Huila (4), Benguela (3), Cabinda (3) and Lunda Sul (2) with ages between 5 months and 77 years, being 188 males and 122 females.

In this period four deaths were reported, of Angolan citizens, three men and one woman, between 37 and 90 years old, of which two in Luanda, one in Cunene and one in Huambo.

According to the authorities, 117 people have recovered from the disease, ranging in age from 1 month to 86 years old.

The laboratories processed 2442 samples by RT-PCR, in a cumulative that points to 569.009 tests.

Angola has 32,933 cases of covid-19, including 735 deaths, 27,204 recovered from the disease, 4994 active, including 13 critical and 44 severe.

There are 281 patients hospitalized and 37 people in institutional quarantine.

The covid-19 pandemic has caused at least 3,475,079 deaths worldwide, resulting from more than 167.1 million cases of infection, according to an assessment by the French agency AFP.

The disease is transmitted by a new coronavirus detected in late 2019 in Wuhan, a city in central China.
