"The pandemic has hit the film industry hard, and African filmmakers have not been spared. This Africa Day, we want to celebrate the talent and resilience of the continent's film industry with the launch of this festival of African films where our audiences can enjoy AfroCinema from the comfort of their own homes," he added.

Among the list of films that will be screened are "Sunset in Makoko" (Nigeria), "Air Conditioning" (Angola), "Ensulo" (Kenya), "Back of the Moon" (South Africa), among others.
