Matias Damásio collected nearly 150 thousand tons of food that he distributed to social institutions

Singer Matias Damásio, who held a solidarity live last May 3, collected more than 147 thousand tons of food, which were distributed by 9595 basic baskets for direct delivery to various social support institutions in seven provinces of the country.

:

The delivery of the basic baskets started at Centro Pequena Semente, in Cacuaco. He then went to the Dom Bosco Center, in Sambizanga, passed by Lar Kuzola, in Luanda, by the Morro Bento and Benfica Residents' Commission and by Beiral, a nursing home in Viana.

Matias Damásio personally delivered the basic baskets, accompanied, among others, by Paulo Edra, from Fidelidade Angola, sponsor of live and participant in the selection of institutions, as well as the logistical feasibility of deliveries, both in Luanda and in the other provinces.

On the ground, the atmosphere was one of celebration, generosity, smiles and solidarity. The children of Pequena Semente, Don Bosco and Lar Kuzola could hardly believe that they had in front of them the "idol" of so many Angolans, according to a statement sent to VerAngola.

For the heads of each of the institutions, the gesture was "extremely important because it not only directly supports the children's food, but also brings affection and attention in the 'shape' of people".

Matias Damásio underlines that this is a way of "distributing the love virus in Angola", because we all "need love, attention and affection in order to survive. And I cannot be more satisfied with the reaction of the people who attended the live and the companies that have been supporting me for a long time so that this self-help action could have taken place. Today we are here in Luanda. Malanje, Bié, Huambo, Huíla and Benguela, so that they are also delivered to the families that need them most ", underlined the singer.

Reverend Cassule, from Centro Pequena Semente, received the 200 basic baskets that were given to him with gratitude and a smile on his face, because "the children were able to enjoy a different moment of conviviality and animation, and their meals ended up being reinforced for the next few days ".

Engrácia do Céu, director of Lar Kuzola, emphasized the relevance of the action developed by the singer Matias Damásio and, above all, his presence in the act of delivery. "Because with this gesture, children and caregivers are more sensitized and more comfortable with the support received in the form of love for others".

The following week the distribution continued in other communities and neighborhoods in Luanda. In addition to the technical team of Matias Damásio and Fidelidade, the company SLC, of transport and logistics, also participated in this action, which made it possible to send and distribute basic food baskets in the rest of the country's provinces.
