A press release from the Ministry of Transport, distributed this Monday to the press, reports that search and rescue work carried out by the Captaincy of the Port of Luanda, civil protection and firefighters, with the support of the public order police, to locate the missing person is taking place on the site and surrounding areas from the time of the alert.
The captaincy is also working to ascertain the causes of the wreck, pointing out that preliminary information indicates that people are conducting sport fishing, violating the measures of the current state of emergency, declared due to covid-19.
"We have come to alert the general public to comply with the measures in force, to avoid scenarios that would violate the country's maritime rules and harm the safety of life at sea," the authorities call on in the communiqué, promising more data for later.
