Cacuaco authorities concerned about alleged witchcraft practices and violations

Authorities in the municipality of Cacuaco, 30 kilometres from Luanda, are concerned about the use of a hill in that district by religious sect shepherds for alleged witchcraft practices, sexual rape, among other crimes.

:

According to the administrator of Cacuaco, Auxílio Jacob, residents of the area denounced that on the said "Che Guevara" hill "actions that jeopardize the safety of citizens" take place.

"Through witchcraft rituals, there have also been acts harmful to public morals, sexual relations in the open air," said Auxílio Jacob, in statements to Angolan public radio this Monday, saying that there are people with sterility problems who get involved with religious sect pastors.

He stressed that a commission has been created to "understand well what this hill means" and to have more data.

"When we decide to make an intervention, it will be to end it," said the administrator of Cacuaco, alerting all those who frequent the space to stop doing so.

"When we make the decision to go to that space to end it, we will do it in the name of the law and we will not negotiate with anyone, because that is not a temple, it is not a church, a museum, a monument, that is a space that is being used to commit silent crimes," he said.
